Gutter Materials
Aluminum
Aluminum is the most common gutter material which will not rust, is lightweight and easy to install, can be painted and can last up to 25 years.
Copper
Copper has been used for centuries in building products and is built to stand the test of time. Copper gutters are not affected by the weather and can last up to 100 years if properly installed.
Galvalume
Galvalume steel is coated with aluminum and zinc which results in a durable metal with proven long term corrosion resistance. Galvalume has on average, roughly nine times the expected life cycle as galvanized steel.
Zincalume Steel
Zincalume steel gutters are coated with combination of aluminum, zinc and silicon which creates a lightweight, but very durable metal. This makes the gutters much tougher and zincalume is environmentally-friendly and recyclable. It has a lifetime of around 4 times that of galvanized steel.
Galvanized
Galvanized steel gutters are extremely durable and cost effective. They are made from hot-dip steel to increase rust-resistance. They also hold up to all types of weather.
Gutter Products
K-Style Gutters
These are the standard gutters you see on many modern homes. They are flat on one side and easy to install. Because they are found on the majority of buildings in the U.S., this style of gutter is usually the default choice for building suppliers and contractors. This style is also popular because it has a decorative front side, resembling crown molding.
Half Round
Half-round gutters are shaped like a round tube that is cut in half. They are the traditional gutters found on many homes built prior to 1960. In some older neighborhoods, half-round gutters may be required for historic home preservation.
Commercial Box Style
Commercial box style gutters feature a more square/rectangular boxy appearance. These are generally found on commercial buildings but are sometimes used on more modern homes for a clean look.
Gutter Guard
Gutter guards allow the rainwater to freely flow through to the gutters without permitting entry of leaves and debris. Gutters that are clogged can allow water (and ice, in the winter) to seep back into your home creating damage to your ceilings and walls. Clogged gutters can allow water to run back into your basement and damage your home’s foundation.
Gutter Guard is available in the following styles:
-
- Gutter Guard
- Screen/Slotted Style
- Micro Mesh
- Amerimax
- Superior
- Hydroshield
- Block Fillers
- Downspout Screens
